1. What this tool is
Free Text Cleaner ("the Service", freetextclean.com) is a free, browser-based utility that cleans and formats text you provide (whitespace, line breaks, HTML, letter case, duplicates, and similar operations, plus on-device image OCR). The Service is provided"as is" without warranties of any kind.
2. Free use license
You may use the Service and its cleaned output for personal and commercial purposes at no charge and without creating an account. You do not need to give credit, but you may not claim ownership of the Service itself, resell access to it as your own product, or remove site notices and branding when redistributing the site.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its infrastructure.
- Process content you do not have the right to use (e.g. infringing, confidential, or illegally obtained material).
- Submit malicious code or attempt to extract other users' data — there is none, since all processing is local to each browser.
4. Your content stays yours — and your responsibility
All cleaning happens locally in your browser (see ourprivacy policy). You retain all rights to the text and images you process. You are solely responsible for that content — including ensuring you have the right to use it and that cleaned output is accurate before you publish, submit, or rely on it. Automated cleanup and OCR can make mistakes; always review important output.
5. Intellectual property
The site's design, code, branding, and editorial content are owned by the site operator and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. The limited license in section 2 does not transfer any ownership rights.
6. Third-party links and services
The site may link to or load resources from third parties (e.g. fonts, hosting/CDN). We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.
7. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that cleaned output or OCR results will be correct or fit for any specific purpose.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — or any loss of data, profits, or content — arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Service is to stop using it.
9. Changes to the Service and these terms
We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time, and we may revise these terms by posting an updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
